Zenit St Petersburg defender Dejan Lovren is backing Croatia teammate Duje Caleta-Car to move to England.
The Marseille stopper was linked with West Ham United before the summer market shut last week.
Former Liverpool defender Lovren told La Provence: "In my opinion, Duje could easily play in England.
"He is physically very strong, stronger than other players. He will explode in a few years and become even stronger."
Caleta-Car, 24, attracted a €27m offer from West Ham in the final days of the transfer window.
