Manchester United have ruled out allowing Ethan Laird and Arnau Puigmal to depart on-loan.
The Mirror says the pair now look likely to stay at Old Trafford rather than heading out on loan before Friday's domestic deadline.
United have allowed a number of youngsters to make temporary exits to clubs, with Dylan Levitt and Tahith Chong among those to leave on season-long deals.
However, defender Laird - who has been training with the first team - and Spanish under-19 midfielder Puigmal are unlikely to join the loan exodus, according to the Manchester Evening News.
One youngster who could be allowed to move on, though, is Di'Shon Bernard.
The centre-back, who made his United debut in the Europa League last season, has reportedly been in talks with clubs in League One and League Two.
