Newcastle United are lining up a double defensive raid on Manchester United.
The Telegraph says Newcastle have enquired to United about defensive duo Phil Jones and Chris Smalling.
Toon boss Steve Bruce is looking to bolster his central defence, and United are looking to offload the pair, with Smalling of interest to Roma.
Jones, meanwhile, has also been linked with Championship outfit.
