Super agent Jorge Mendes was key to Edinson Cavani's move to Manchester United last week.
The free agent, off contract from PSG, joined United on deadline day.
TMW says Cavani was offered to Benfica, Atlético Madrid, Inter Milan, Real Madrid and Juventus - but the response from all involved was negative.
However, a call put into Mendes saw the Portuguese take charge of the situation and offered Cavani to United this month.
And by deadline day, United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer had been convinced and it was agreed to hand Cavani a 12-month contract with the option for another year.
