Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is delighted with the attitude of his players for the start of this season.

Liverpool's start to the season has been impressive with maximum points against Leeds, Chelsea and Arsenal, putting paid to any idea they'd be less motivated having just won their first championship for 30 years.

"We agreed a while ago that we'd try to make this the best time of our lives as long as we are together," said Klopp. "That is what we are still doing. I am not in doubt about the desire and hunger of my boys. We are still in the right mood.

"It's my job a little bit to keep that going. So it means we are on the safe side. If we don't succeed, it will not be because we don't want it with all we have. The other teams, they can be better, in football and in life it's like this.'

Told that Sir Alex Ferguson always looked into the players eyes to see if they were still hungry after winning the title, Klopp quipped, "He won 13 titles? I wish I had his eyes!"
