Chelsea will be without Edouard Mendy for Saturday's clash with Southampton.

The 28-year-old goalkeeper, signed from Rennes this summer, injured his thigh whilst on international duty with Senegal.

Mendy will undergo further tests this week and is expected to miss ten days of action, according to football.london.

Kepa Arrizabalaga will be hoping to replace Mendy for the Stamford Bridge meeting.

The 26-year-old has fallen to second-choice keeper' after Mendy's arrival.

In other injury news for the Blues, Hakim Ziyech could be in contention to make his debut against Saints after recovering from a knee injury.

Christian Pulisic is also available after appearing against Crystal Palace before the international break.
