Chelsea were left frustrated after their Champions League campaign kicked off with a goalless draw with Sevilla at Stamford Bridge.
Blues goalkeeper Edouard Mendy, back from injury, pulled off two fine saves to deny Sevilla in the first-half.
Frank Lampard's side improved after the half-time interval, Kurt Zouma and Ben Chilwell both heading chances straight at goalkeeper Yassine Bounou.
The visitors almost had themselves a winner but Joan Jordan's dipping volley narrowly missed the goals.
With Group E rivals Rennes and Krasnador playing out a 1-1 draw, all four teams are on a point each.
Chelsea will fly to Russia next week to play Krasnador.
