Kota Kinabalu: The Fo Guang Shan (FGS Malaysia) organisation donated seven units of Powered Air Purifying Respirator (PAPR) worth approximately RM60,000 to Queen Elizabeth Hospital I (QEH). The association said the PAPR units are the first batch of medical equipment donated in order to aid frontline medical staff at the hospital. “PAPRs are used to protect users from breathing contaminated air, offering more comfort for prolonged use. Subsequent personal protective equipment (PPE) of 1,000 sets and 210 pieces of “Scrub” surgical gowns will follow by,” FGS said in a statement, Sunday.
