Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp will wait and see if Thiago Alcantara can play against Ajax.
The Reds will be without Virgil van Dijk for a lengthy spell after he required surgery on his ACL following an incident during the Merseyside derby.
Thiago was injured in the same match, but not as badly as van Dijk.
"So, yes, he (Thiago) got a knock, a proper knock," Klopp told the club's website.
"All the rest, we have to see. It's not even close to being as serious [as Virgil van Dijk]. But will he be ready for Wednesday? I don't know yet. We will see."
