Tongod now yellow zone, no deaths, 352 new cases, 2 new clusters

Kota Kinabalu: Tongod became Sabah’s latest yellow zone as the state registered no new deaths for the first time in weeks, 352 new cases and two new clusters on Thursday, Datuk Masidi Manjun said.

Data from the Ministry of Health showed Tongod, formerly Sabah’s only green zone or district without active cases, recorded one new case and recategorised as a yellow zone or district with one to 39 active cases.

Sabah’s 352 new cases comprised 55 in clusters including 11 in the two new ones, 170 close contacts and 127 other screening cases.

Masidi, Sabah’s spokesman for the crisis, said 458 more patients were discharged in the state and 3,848 patients are receiving treatment, 72 of whom are in intensive care and 27 on ventilator support.
