Luis Campos wants to leave his sporting director post at Lille.
Canal+ says the Portuguese has informed Lille president Gerard Lopez of his wish.
Campos is under no pressure inside the club, but it appears he wishes to move onto a new challenge.
He has also butted heads with director general Marc Ingla this year.
The former Real Madrid and AS Monaco chief has been linked with the technical director's post at Manchester United.
