CHIEF Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor is appreciative of the commitment and initiative of the Malaysian Armed Forces in working together with the State Government in combating the Covid-19 pandemic.Fifth Division Infantry Commander Major General Datuk Muhammad Hafizuddeain Jantan said the Chief Minister also commended the setting up of a military field hospital in Tawau, apart from ensuring Sabah’s security. The Chief Minister made the remarks when receiving the first official visit from the State’s military top brass since he took over the helm of State Government at his office in the State Administration Centre (PPNS), here.

Hafizuddeain, who is the Appointed Military Commander for Sabah, also briefed Hajiji on the role of the Fifth Division, including securing the country’s border through “Ops Benteng.” The Fifth Division was also assisting government agencies in the fight against Covid-19 through “Ops Penawar.”
