Residents in 2 Lahad Datu neighbourhoods under EMCO protest

LAHAD DATU: The residents of Taman Khazanah Indah (TKI) and Pangsapuri Mutiara Kasih (PMK), here, held a protest shortly after the announcement of a second extension to an Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO) in their localities, Monday.

It was learnt that the protests were to appeal to the authorities not to extend the EMCO in their areas for the second time.

TKI and PMK were first placed under EMCO on Oct 13-26, which was later extended to Oct 27-Nov 9.

However, Senior Minister (Security Cluster) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob in his daily press conference announced the second extension which will end on Nov 23.
