39 Filipino illegals are escorted to int’l waters

SEMPORNA: Some 39 undocumented Filipinos were deported via Semporna waters on Monday under the coordination of the Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency here and assisted by the Tawau Immigration Department. 

 Semporna Maritime Zone Director Norrimi Hassan said two assets, Banggi 09 and Kilat 52, were deployed to repatriate the undocumented immigrants (pic). 

 “The assets were deployed to the Customs, Immigration and Quarantine (CIQ) Jetty in Kg Labuan Haji, Pulau Bum-Bum to coordinate the deportation of the 39 illegals from the Temporary Detention Centre,” he said.
