Kota Kinabalu: Sabah Golf Association has issued notice to all their member clubs in the state to resume their golfing activities starting on November 11.

However, they must adhere strictly to the Standard Operation Procedure (SOP) and the guidelines issued by the Malaysia Golf Association (MGA) , according to its secretary Ian Young (pic) on Wednesday.

 “We have reminded all the clubs that there will be no compromise with the re-opening and they have to follow the SOP and MGA guidelines as required to support the state government in their relentless effort to contain and prevent the spread of Covid-19 in the State.

 “We must also learn from the recent experience in West Malaysia where several golf clubs were forced to close and had incurred a  high costs with the sanitization and disinfection measures  after some of their members were tested positive,” he said.
