Chelsea hero Franck Lebouef believes Edouard Mendy deserves to be regarded as the signing of the season.
Mendy left Rennes for Chelsea at the start of the season.
"Thanks to Rennes for selling him to us!" Leboeuf laughed.
"He has made a huge impact.
"I have followed the guy when he was in Reims and then last season in Rennes, he's an absolutely fantastic player, and if he's not the top signing of the new season he's a huge signing for Chelsea for sure."
