FB post on over 900 S’kan cases fake: Dept

SANDAKAN: The State Health Department (JKNS) confirmed that a viral message in Facebook under SandakanKini Viral about high number of positive Covid-19 cases amounting to over 900 cases in Sandakan, is fake.

Sabah Health Director Datuk Dr Christina Rundi (pic) said such irresponsible act of uploading and spreading the unverified viral message is serious that could mislead the public and cause unnecessary panic, here.

The viral message was uploaded on the Facebook account holder of SandakanKini Viral  on Thursday (Nov 19) saying that “Usually on Friday, the case will increase because the results of the RT-PCR or RTK tests are known…and just received new info…#Frontliner Hospital was told to be ready to admit patient Tomorrow Numbering 9 ++ !!! ... (Genuine/valid info)”.
