Geoffrey Kondogbia is delighted with his move to Atletico Madrid.
The former Valencia midfielder replaces Thomas Partey, who moved to Arsenal in the summer transfer window.
At his presentation, Kondogbia said that he "arrives with hope" and that "it will be a pride to wear the shirt", at his third club in Spain after Sevilla and Valencia.
"I can't wait to debut," he added. He will compete with Hector Herrera and Lucas Torreira to win a place in the double pivot of Diego Simeone's side.
Of the Argentine coach he said: "Although I have not worked with him, from outside I've seen the values he transmits, commitment and work, two keys to achieve objectives."
