Novel way of keeping Kudat’s streets clean

KUDAT: Unlike other towns, road signs in Kudat and Sikuati in the north contains the names of workers responsible for cleaning and maintaining the general cleanliness of a specific street or shop or market area.

Perhaps with the names displayed prominently, they would surely keep their areas spotless.

“This could be emulated by other local governments within their municipalities or city as such recognition could help boost workers’ morale and motivate them to take their responsibility seriously since the results could be publicly seen and appreciated,” said Lim Chin Wah, a sales executive from Kota Kinabalu visiting a sundry store, here.
