Dayot Upamecano has decided he will leave RB Leipzig next summer.

The French defender only signed an extension with Leipzig in July, keeping him under contract until 2023.

But the new deal has reduced Upamecano's release clause from £54m to £36m.

And the Expresssays Upamecano wants clubs to activate the clause when the transfer window opens up at the end of this season.

Manchester United, Liverpool, Manchester City are following the 22-year-old 'closely', according to respected journalist Jan Aage Fjortoft.

Bayern Munich have also been linked with the former Salzburg man.
