Manchester City chiefs are eager to secure Sergio Aguero to a new contract in the coming months.
Barcelona star Lionel Messi appears to have edged closer to a sensational transfer to City amid reports manager Pep Guardiola is set to extent his stint at the Etihad.
El Chiringuito says Messi would consider a move to City on two conditions; that both Guardiola and Aguero remain at the Etihad.
Messi played under Guardiola for five seasons at Barcelona, where the pair won La Liga three times and the Champions League twice.
The Argentine is also good friends with his international team-mate Aguero, who would help him settle into the Manchester area. Aguero's current deal expires in June.
Given that Guardiola appears set to stay at City would appeal to Messi, who tried to leave Barcelona in the summer, and could sway his decision at the end of the season.
