Consider plight of Rampayan squatters

Kota Kinabalu: The State Government is urged to consider re-looking into the plight of over 300  squatters believed to be locals living along Sungai Rampayan which is prone to frequent flooding even during a brief rain.

Warisan Darau Assemblyman Azhar bin Datuk Matussin said for many years they had to endure their personal belongings often getting damaged each time it rained.

“Even after 30 minutes’ rain, the water level will rise and cause flood problem to houses along the river.
