Fisherman’s body found

PITAS: The body of a fisherman who was reported missing on Nov. 20 after he was believed to have fallen off a “bagang” (a fishing facility at sea that uses nets and lights to catch fish) near Kg Rosob, Pantai Pitas, here was found on Sunday.

Kota Marudu Fire and Rescue Station chief Rony Sikawan said Hamlee, 46, was found floating at 7.30am by villagers about 500 meters from the location where he was reported to have fallen.

He said the victim’s body was handed over to the Police for further action.
