Budget 2021: Vapes, E-Cigarettes & Cigarettes Will Have An Additional 10% Tax

Tengku Zafrul Tengku Aziz, our Finance minister has taken to parliament to present the 2021 Budget today.

In the live broadcast, he has said that the government will be imposing an excise duty of 10% on all smoking equipment, electronic or non-electronic including vapes. This will be implemented on 1 January 2021. As for vape juices, an excise duty of 40 cents per millilitre will be charged.

In accordance with that, cigarettes and tobacco products will be taxed in all Duty-Free islands.
