Spain coach Luis Enrique was delighted with their 6-0 rout of Germany in last night's Nations League tie.
Manchester City winger Ferran Torres netted a hat-trick to dominate the scoresheet.
"Happiness and joy," Luis Enrique described his emotions at full time. "It's a reinforcement for the players. We're back on the route to victory. Now it's time to enjoy this moment."We felt that there wasn't a single game we deserved to lose [in the group stages]. We've scored 13 goals and conceded three - they're the numbers. We've deserved more in this group phase.
"We know which country we're in. We accept the criticism. We ignore a lot of it. We'll be neither so good nor so bad when it comes to talking about the lack of goals."I don't think the criticism was unfair. We have to know how to live with it and with opinions. From the fans, all we've felt is love. It's a shame that we couldn't have people in the stands [tonight]."
This was a must-win match for Spain if they wanted to qualify for the Nations League finals.
"The players know just what kind of ability they have," Luis Enrique continued. "The objective has been achieved and now we're going to enjoy the final stage. The idea was to play the game as if it was a crunch game at the European Championship."
