Filipinos in Sabah plead for flight to repatriate them

Kota Kinabalu: A total of 8,831 Filipinos working abroad were flown home during the first two weeks of this month.

The repatriation exercise, which included 151 Filipinos in Sarawak, was part of the Philippine government’s ongoing programme related to the Covid-19 pandemic.

“The total number of repatriated overseas Filipinos (OFs) is 254,785 since the DFA began its Covid-19-related repatriation efforts last February,” the Philippine Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said in its official Facebook account.
