Real Madrid are threatening Barcelona plans for Manchester City defender Eric Garcia.
Off contract in June, Garcia has made it no secret he wishes to return to Barca - which has been acknowledged by City manager Pep Guardiola.
However, the Catalans could face competition from Real Madrid, where they see the youngster as a potential successor for veteran skipper Sergio Ramos.
Garcia, 19, is currently with Luis Enrique's Spain squad this week.
Garcia has reportedly told friends he plans to return 'home' to Barcelona — whether it is in January or next summer on a free transfer.
