2,565 cabbies in Sabah receive cash aid: CVLB

Kota Kinabalu: A total of 2,565 eligible taxi drivers in Sabah have to date received the one-off RM600 cash aid from the Federal Government under the “Bantuan Prihatin Nasional Pemandu Teksi.”

Sabah Commercial Vehicle Licensing Board (CVLB) Chairman Datuk Chin Kim Hiung (pic) said the first batch involved 1,771 recipients who received the assistance from the Ministry of Finance through Bank Simpanan Nasional (BSN).

He said the cash aid for the second batch of 794 taxi drivers was disbursed by CVLB into their respective bank accounts on Nov 10 and they were advised to check and update CVLB on the matter.
