Boavista defender Adil Rami has again stated Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema should be playing for France.
Les Bleus coach Didier Deschamps hasn't called on Benzema since 2016 after the striker became embroiled in an alleged blackmail plot.
Rami told RMC: "When I see this France team, with the coach we have, the football we can have, the technical players, the speed, this generation ... I would like to see the best number nine in the world, Karim Benzema, in the French team.
"There is a conflict, I don't know exactly what happened, but I would like Karim to adapt and take a step towards the coach for the good of the French, the France team and even for him, for his own career.
"Because the France team deserves a Karim Benzema and Karim Benzema deserves to know this team."
