Former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger's long time assistant coach Boro Primorac has been named new coach of Hajduk Split.

The 65 year-old takes charge of the Croatian giants in his first job as senior manager.

For the past year, Primorac has worked as director of Hajduk Split's youth academy, but now he is taking charge of the first team.

Primorac was assistant to Arsene Wenger with Nagoya Grampus Eight, Japan from 1994 to 1997 and then joined Arsenal, where he was until 2018, when Wenger resigned from the club.

He also played for Hajduk Split from 1978 to 1983.
