Sheffield United boss Chris Wilder insists Max Lowe will continue to progress this season.
Lowe battled to compete in defeat to Chelsea last week.
But Wilder said of the fullback: "Max makes a mistake, which he will get over as he is a good player and a strong character and quickly after being in the game at 2-1, we are out of it at 4-1.
"He is a young player learning on the job. We brought him in to develop him, but he is having to play at the moment. He is going to make the odd mistake as young players do."
