Former Tottenham boss Glenn Hoddle says Arsenal should consider releasing Joe Willock for loan in January - even to the Bundesliga.
Hoddle admits he's a big fan of the midfielder and believes England U21 overlooking the youngster for selection this week is due to him not getting enough minutes with the Gunners.
Willock, now 21, has been outstanding for the Gunners in the Europa League this season, but is yet to appear in the Premier League. The Gunners academy graduate did not even make the bench for Sunday's defeat to Aston Villa.
In Europe, however, it's been a different story, with Willock appearing in all three Europa League games so far this season. Last week for the 4-1 rout of Molde at Emirates stadium, Willock again caught the eye, scoring the last of Arsenal's four goals after two own goals and Nicolas Pepe gave them a 3-1 lead.
Speaking on his podcast, 'The Glenn Hoddle Footy Show', Hoddle stated: "There's a really good attacking midfield player at Arsenal, Joe Willock, who should be in the England U21s, in my opinion.
"I think he's a really good talent and I think he'll score goals for fun. He likes to get in the box, he has a lovely guile about him. Can see the picture. Good vision. Brave with the ball...
"But he's not in the U21s because he's not in the first team at Arsenal. He's a classic example of someone who is having to be held back.
"There's a lot of talent out there, but because they're not playing at senior level they should be going out on loan. If Arsenal aren't going to put them in, let them go out on loan.
"Use other countries - Chelsea do it very well. Let them go to Germany, because they're good enough, or other countries like France. Get them playing, because they're good enough.
"If he was playing in a senior team somewhere, he'd be in that (England U21) squad and then he would be progressing."
Willock's struggles this term come on the back of last season when he made 29 league appearances.
