Beaufort Umno sees ‘minor reshuffle’ 

BEAUFORT: Beaufort Umno witnessed a reshuffle following the departure of its chief and deputy chief during the recent State Election, said its acting chief Awang Aslee Lakat.

“It is only a minor reshuffle as it does not involve the whole positions,” he said after handing out food baskets to the division’s Youth, Wanita and Puteri chiefs, near here, recently.

Also present were Beaufort Umno Wanita chief Datuk Siti Hajah Aminah Aching and Youth chief Mohd Fadzli Misdeh.

In the reshuffle, former Beaufort Umno Youth committee member Abdul Rahman Mohd Taib was appointed as the new division secretary.

“So far, we have appointed a new division secretary, while the rest of the positions will be filled later.”

Awang Aslee said Beaufort Umno would continue to function as the members’ loyalty is still strong.

“Our focus now is to strengthen the division to face the next General Election,” he said.

He hoped the support from the grassroots will continue, especially in the division.
