Agent Alan Aguzarov has revisited Tottenham's interest in Zenit St Petersburg strker Artem Dzyuba.
Mourinho was interested in the veteran last January as cover for Harry Kane.
Aguzarov told Sport-Express: "Jose Mourinho did not call Dzyuba. He called one of my partners, with whom he is in fairly good contact. Mourinho made it clear that against the background of Kane's injury, Tottenham are considering three candidates, including Dzyuba.
"Mourinho is quite familiar with Dzyuba's capabilities. There was interest on his part. In the end, they didn't take anyone. It was assumed that Kane's injury would be serious. But it turned out that the player was eliminated for a fairly short period.
"They decided to limit themselves to internal resources."
