Tears of joy for cataract sufferer

Kota Kinabalu: Cataract sufferer Latifah Mohd Walli, 54, cried tears of joy when she learnt that she would receive free cataract surgery under the “Hope In Sight” project. 

With her impaired vision affecting her daily activities, she likened the opportunity as having a second chance at life.

“When I first got the news, I was in tears because at the time I was desperately hoping for help, especially with my eye condition,” she told Daily Express tearfully before going into surgery at Eyemedics Specialist Eye Centre, here.
