Chelsea boss Frank Lampard is eager to see his players build team relationships.

Lampard and Didier Drogba hold the Premier League goals/assists record of 36 and the Blues manager explains the reasons behind that success.

"It came with work," he claimed. "We were good friends and we became best of friends. We didn't go out that much together but we had a really good relationship off the pitch and we spoke a lot in training.

"I've been watching back some of the balls I'd play over the top one-touch for Didier - it was a pass I loved and I knew Didier would run. We would talk about the timing of it, exactly where he wanted it, the defender he felt would get sucked into that first movement.

"When things went wrong, we worked together in training and we used to stay outside a lot. It takes work and it takes relationships. You cannot do everything on your own so we have to build those relationships now all over the team."
