Salleh picked as chairman of GRS Backbenchers Club

Kota Kinabalu: Usukan assemblyman Salleh Said Keruak has been appointed head of the GRS Backbenchers Club in the State Legislative Assembly.

The appointment was made during a pre-council meeting of GRS assemblymen before the state assembly session began here yesterday.

Salleh thanked Sabah Chief Minister Hajiji Noor for his appointment. “This is a trust (in my ability) and I will make every effort to fulfil my role as chairman of the club,” he said today.

In the state election in September, Salleh, a former communications and multimedia minister, won the Usukan seat with a majority of 4,298 votes.
