Barcelona are making the transfer of Manchester City youngster Eric Garcia a priority.
The Catalan giants are rocked by news that veteran defender Gerard Pique has suffered a cruciate knee ligament injury.
It means Pique is out for many months, and could even miss most of this season.
The club will now prioritise signing Garcia in January, even though he is out of contract in the summer.
According to Goal.com, it means any move for Lyon and Netherlands attacker Memphis Depay will have to wait.
Depay is someone manager Ronald Koeman wanted, but the club can't swing it financially, especially if they have to pay a transfer fee to City for Garcia.
