Newcastle United boss Steve Bruce admits spots are up for grabs after the manner of their defeat to Southampton.
Non-international players are back in training next week but will be afforded some time off next weekend.
When asked on making changes after a night in which nobody apart from Karl Darlow emerged with any credit, Bruce said “I'll dwell on it.
“There's certainly positions up for grabs, that's for sure.
“We just have to wait until the internationals come back, it's as simple as that.
“It's a long time to wait."
He added: “We've been all week talking about how good Southampton are, and their press, they come after you, and the one thing you have to do is play off the front.
“We simply couldn't do it."
