Brighton boss Graham Potter says attacking pair Andi Zeqiri and Aaron Connolly are in his plans.

Zeqiri was preferred to Connolly for a place on the bench at Spurs on Sunday.

Potter said: “He has made a really positive impression. He is a forward player that can play in lots of positions across the line.

“His reactions are really good, he is direct and he is also technically able.

“His personality has really impressed us. It looks like he enjoys his football and he plays with a smile on his face.

“He plays with incredible enthusiasm and I think he has made a really strong impression."

Connolly has struggled to maintain his early form in the senior team.

Potter said: “He is a young player who is learning to be in the Premier League, who has some ups and down, which you'd expect.

“He's a great kid, we like him a lot. We believe in him a lot.

“Sometimes it's right for others to take the spot instead of him.

“Sometimes he will be involved but there's no problems with Aaron.

“He's working hard, he wants to play for the team, wants to play for us and has done his best to get in the team."
