Liverpool goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher would be happy to leave the club on loan in January.

The Republic of Ireland under-21 star admits his ultimate goal is to become the club's no.1 shot stopper.

But he knows the competition for places is fierce, and would be happy to get game time during the second half of the season.

Kelleher has played four times this term, all in domestic cup competitions.

He has been in the matchday squad seven times.

"There were a few clubs interested, there was talk of going to Holland but an injury to Alisson at the wrong time killed anything for me," said Kelleher to reporters.

"We'll just review it and see what happens in the future. I wouldn't say I'm frustrated.

"Of course, I want to play games as soon as possible. I've been patient. I have good patience.

"If January comes and I get out, that's great. And if I don't get out, I'm not going to blow up."
