Manchester United defender Eric Bailly is happy with his new contract.
Bailly extended his deal earlier this year to 2022.
He told Mundo Deportivo: "Wanting to play for United can never be a mistake. Not at all. It was a correct decision. Despite the fact that along the way I have had ups and downs, but I have always returned with determination.
"I was sure I was going to measure up. If I'm still at United it's because there are people at the club who have bet on my continuity. I just need to reach the performance of my early years."
On United's progress overall, Bailly added: "Consistency. There have been moments for hope like the victory against PSG and then that level has not been maintained. Why has it not been achieved? That's a good question. In the dressing room it is not quite understood either.""
