Tottenham hero Glenn Hoddle believes Gareth Bale is getting better and better after his performance in their Europa League defeat of Ludogorets.

For the 3-1 win, Bale was involved in Spurs' second goal of the night, laying the ball off to Harry Kane who crossed for Lucas Moura to tap-in from close range in the 32nd minute of the match.

"He is looking sharper, he's had more minutes on the pitch," Hoddle said on BT Sport after the game.

"We can't judge him yet. He's not gonna be the same Bale that left Tottenham (in 2013).

"What we saw from him tonight, drifting into that pocket, hurting the opposition - that's where I see him. I don't see him on the right or left.

"Son, Bale and Kane is as good as any forward line in the country."
