Fulham goalkeeper Alphonse Areola admits the signing of Gigi Buffon wrecked his career at PSG.
Buffon spent a year with PSG before returing to Juventus last year.
Areola, on-loan at Fulham from PSG, told Canal Football Club: "The year of the World Cup, I had a full season. For me, continuity was to stay, to continue playing for Paris, my training club.
"Gigi Buffon arrives, and frankly I loved him to death to be really frank, because he is one of my idols.
"But it is true that I did not have the playing time that I hoped for."
