646 Sabah Covid-19 cases, 7 deaths

Kota Kinabalu: Sabah recorded 646 new Covid-19 cases on Wednesday, with seven fatalities and three new clusters, bringing the total number of clusters to 55.  Of the 646 cases, 54 were from the new clusters, namely Sandakan Prison cluster (39 cases), Dialysis cluster (19 cases) and Sepanggar cluster (seven cases).

Forty-six cases were from the existing clusters, 367 from close contact screening and 179 from other Covid-19 screening. 

Three of the fatalities were reported at the Duchess of Kent Hospital Sandakan, two at the Tawau Hospital and one each at the Sabah Women and Children’s Hospital in Likas and Tuaran Hospital. All of them, aged between 56 and 83, had medical history.
