Phoong: Invest more on infra projects in Sabah

Kota Kinabalu: Luyang Assemblyman Phoong Jin Zhe  said the government should invest more on infrastructure development projects as to revive the economy in Sabah.

Phoong said in the 2021 Budget, the development funds allocated would not help the State to get out of the economic crisis.

“Investing a big amount to combat the pandemic can indeed relieve the economic pressure of  the general public for the short term but the largest budget ever has not been able to prove to be beneficial for Sabah in the long run.

“Sabah as the state that has suffered the most from the pandemic will face challenges to get out of the economic crisis compare to other states if the government do not allocate more resources to develop the State.
