Housing allowance: Cuepacs Sabah welcomes review

Kota Kinabalu: The Congress of Unions of Employees in the Public and Civil Services (Cuepacs) Sabah Secretary, Ajulahin Japin, welcomes the announcement by the Government to review and streamline the regional housing allowance for civil servants. 

He noted that the announcement was made by the Finance Minister while responding to the debate on Budget 2021 at Parliament.  

“This long standing issue has been a matter of discontentment among Sabahans who have been posted to Peninsular Malaysia either on their first appointment or on promotion,” said Ajulahin, who is also Sabah Medical Services Union President.
