Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp equalled a record set by Reds legend Bob Paisley 40 years ago as they beat West Ham 2-1 on Saturday evening.

Avoiding defeat against the Hammers extended the Reds' unbeaten run at Anfield in the Premier League to 63 games - the same number Paisley's side went unbeaten between 1978 and 1980.

During the unbeaten run overseen by Paisley, Liverpool won back-to-back First Division titles.

Klopp is hoping to achieve a similar feat as his team aims to defend the Premier League title this season, says the Mirror.

Liverpool have been imperious at home since the German took over five years ago and you have not lost a league game at Anfield since April 2017, when they were sunk by Crystal Palace.
