The government is providing one-off financial assistances for frontliners, civil servants, and police retirees as a token of appreciation for their commitment and service to the country.

Firstly, Kementerian Kesihatan Malaysia (KKM) frontliners directly involved in the fight against Covid-19 will be given an additional one-off RM500 cash aid – an initiative which is expected to benefit 100,000 health personnel. This is on top of the special Covid-19 allowance that is already made available to them under the PRIHATIN economic stimulus package, set at RM600 per month until the end of the pandemic.

In addition to that, civil servants in Grade 56 and below will also get a special one-off financial aid amounting to RM600, whereas pensioners and non-pensionable veterans are entitled to RM300. This group can expect to receive their special allowances in early 2021.

The government is also rewarding police retirees who have received the Pingat Jasa Pahlawan Negara with a single allowance of RM500. This initiative will see 40,000 recipients benefitting from it.
