Kota Kinabalu: A total of 216,150 food baskets have been distributed to 27 districts in Sabah so far to help those who were affected by Covid-19, according to state Community Development and People’s Wellbeing Minister Shahelmey Yahya (pic).

“Today alone, 8,607 food baskets were distributed in 21 districts,” he said in a statement here today.

He said Semporna received the highest number of food baskets today at 2,513 units, followed by Pitas (1,538), Keningau (1,073), Beluran (712), Telupid (459), Tuaran (454), Sipitang (289), Beaufort (255), Sandakan (199), Ranau (172) and Kota Marudu (167).

Tenom received 142 followed by Tambunan (133), Papar (100), Penampang (88), Kinabatangan (84), Kudat (83), Kota Belud (70), Nabawan (34), Putatan (33) and Kunak (nine), he added.
